Another success was my flavor..  Orange dream bar, by Flavor west.  I like the ice cream bars, so I figured I would give this flavor a try first.  It is a pre made flavor mix, so I just add it to my eliquid base, put in my nicotine, and walla..  At 15%, it turns out pretty darn good.  I set my first batch to 10mg of nicotine, then have gone down from there to 8, and 6mg.

I am working on slowly getting off of the nicotine entirely due to heart problems.  Nicotine restricts your arteries, and well, mine are in bad shape.  So, finding great tasting flavors to vape is more important to me, as I work on my over all health using e cigs instead of real cigs.  I can feel a big improvement, but that is another story.  Back to this review…

This flavor is amazing, to say the least.  I stayed with the 15% flavoring that worked well for the banana nut bread, and I really like this a lot.  The orange really stands out when you take in your vapor, then as you inhale, you feel the creamyness flowing down your throat, and you really taste the cream flavor too. Nice and smooth, and not real sweet.

The orange dream bar flavor has a good amount of throat hit, without being too much.  It is kinda on the mild side I guess, since that creamy feeling hits at the same time, when you inhale.  But I noticed that after vaping it for several hours, you do feel more of the throat hit.   The vapor production is real good too, for a 50/50 blend of pg and vg.   It isn’t a super thick cloud of vapor, but it is about the same as a regular cigaretts smoke cloud.

If you like orange dream bars, or orange ice cream bars, then you should really enjoy vaping this flavor.  This could easilly be an all day vape for me, but I keep going back to my Marlboro flavor from the flea market.  Hopefully one day, I will find that flavor and be able to make it myself and save the trip.

I found no reviews for any of the flavor west flavors, so I figured I would work my way through them all, and share the results with you.   I hope this information helps someone out, as I searched the web for days, and found nothing from anyone about them.  So if you enjoy DIY vaping, then keep reading my other posts as I work my way through my first 22 flavors from flavor west.  I will put the mix info in each review so you know where to start.  Your taste buds may vary, but I will at least give you a good starting point.

I am not sure what flavor I will try next.  I am looking for more recipes on line, and hopefully I will find some that will work with the flavors I have.

I will keep you posted, but so far I have 2 flavors that came out great.  I want to find about 10 to 20 more, then I will be set.  Heck, I might even open a site to sell some of my USA made e-liquids, since all of my ingredients are from the USA.  That e liquid from China just makes me feel uneasy, so I would prefer 100% USA made, eliquid with all USA made ingredients for myself.  I know, some of the good flavors come from Italy, but I haven’t tried those yet.

Happy Vaping!

DIY e liquid review – Banana nut bread by Flavor west

Well, now I am starting to have some fun with my DIY e liquid making.  Since I have been vaping a while now, and have to drive around 75 miles round trip to get my favorite  smoke juice, I decided to give a go at making my own.  It is just too costly to drive that far to pick up some e liquids every couple of weeks. It tacks on an easy $20 for the gas.  So, I ordered the supplies, and started making some flavors of my own.  This is a review of the banana nut bread DIY flavoring from Flavor West.
The first thing I found out, is that there is no carved in stone way to make your eliquids.  There are several flavor vendors, and none of them have a set amount of flavor you ad, to make your juice.  It is mostly trial and error, and a lot of reading on the net to try finding what worked for others.  So, for my first batch, since my wife likes it so much, I made up some banana nut bread e liquid.   The best info I could find on the web said to use about 20% of the flavoring, with the mix, so I added my flavor,  nic, and set the e liquid calculator to a 50/50 mix of pg-vg, with 16mg of nicotine, with 15% of flavoring, just to be safe.
Believe it or not,,, it turned out pretty darn good.   I made a second batch at the 20% flavoring, and it was a bit too strong, so I lucked out the first time.  Nice.   The e liquid needs to sit for several hours, to several weeks, to steep in the flavor,  but we only waited an hour or so for the first try of it.  Then once it sat for a week, it was great.   My wife loves it, and that was important, because I made that batch for her.  Once this flavor sites for 7 or 8 days at room temperature, it becomes more bold, and flavorful.  Keep that in mind if you start making stronger batches.
With the 50/50 blend of pg and vg, it has a real good vapor, plenty of throat hit, and a real smooth flavor that you could vape all day.   If you like banana nut bread, then you should really give this flavor a try.  If you do not want to do it yourself, then there are tons of sites that sell ready to vape e liquids and many of them carry this flavor.
Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Vaping!
